The human body is not as complicated as many people think, and those who overeat daily are bound to gain weight. In the same way, those who are always involved in vigorous activity may lose weight faster unless they eat well to replace the energy lost.
I still cannot believe how weight loss is being monetized in modern society. Medical practitioners and personal trainers make fortunes by prescribing complex weight loss techniques.
There are weight loss pills and chemicals that are very expensive, but consumers are desperate; hence they cannot help themselves. I wonder what happened to basic common sense or education, for that matter. Kindly focus on these simple tips if you want to lose weight or stay in shape for as long as you want.
Eat Less and Do More
The simplest blueprint that can help everybody lose weight is eating less and engaging in more physical activities. That is not rocket science, and anyone can understand the methodology, but they choose to assume and wait for experts.
Those who cannot reduce their eating should consider engaging in more activities to break down the food consumed into energy. For instance, one can maintain the eating regimen but start vigorous morning runs to compensate for the extra food taken.
I always had a slender and lean body from childhood, but that changed after adolescence. I started gaining weight, and by the time I got to college, I had a noticeable potbelly. After a few months in college, I regained my original body because I got into many clubs and barely had time to eat all the meals.
I never paid a personal trainer or a gym instructor outrageous amounts of money to achieve that goal. Also, I lost weight without necessarily outlining a plan to achieve the goal.
2. Consider Sweating from Time to Time
Do you know why professional athletes are always in shape? Because they are always active and sweat regularly from numerous practices involved before the main game. These athletes sometimes eat more than regular people, but they barely gain as much weight as they should.
It is imperative to consider sweating at least once or twice a day, regardless of how busy the schedule may be. By this, I mean engaging in minor exercises that would lead to sweating and breaking down fats in the body. Those who hate sweating should stop eating if they do not want to gain weight. Minor exercises like press-ups and frog jumps can work for you, and you can do them anywhere.
Moreover, individuals can take long walks during breaks or consider short morning runs that are consistent. You don't have to do 20 kilometres every day since that will be too much and you may lose interest fast. I recommend doing short distances that are consistent and manageable. You can run within your compound and do it consistently every morning, and it will work.
3. Intermittent Fasting
Yes. Try going without food for some hours in your day. Intermittent fasting does not mean starving yourself to death, though. You only have to avoid food for a specific number of hours in a day. For example, I practice intermittent fasting by taking my first meal at midday for two weeks straight.
During that period, the body burns enough fat, and then you can resume your normal eating regimen. I usually engage in intermittent fasting when I notice that I am gaining weight or failing to exercise for long periods. There are times when schedules get crazy, and people lose track of time; thus, effective methods are needed.
Conclusion
Most importantly, weight loss entails eating less and doing more regardless of the fancy terms used to describe the methodologies. Intermittent fasting was mainly invented to help people eat less while engaging in more activities.
The methodology encourages people to eat way less, thus burning as much fat as possible. Those who can control their eating and increase their activities in a day have all the tools needed to lose weight. On the other side, the text does not encompass those born obese or those who have medical problems that lead to weight gain.
The group mentioned above may need to visit medical practitioners and get treatment for their conditions. However, healthy individuals should try sweating more and getting hobbies that involve physical activities.
Eat less, do more, and you will lose all the weight you want in no time. I wish you well.
